Joint European Army tabled for discussion this November at EU

According to the German Defense Ministry, Wednesday 14th September 2016, the Defense Ministers of the European Union may have to take the first decisions on the establishment of a Joint European Army, in November, while an official at the German Defense Ministry, said that “at the end of November, the EU ministers of defense may take the first decisions in the matter”.

It is scheduled to discuss this issue during the Defence Ministers’ meeting in Brussels on 15 November, according to official data released by Berlin, the European Union leaders will table their position on the concept proposal on the establishment of a common European Army during the EU Council meeting on 15 and 16 December .

The French defence minister Jean-Yves Le Derian and German Ursula von der Line, may give face a message to the UN High Commissioner for Foreign and Security Policy of the European Union, Federica Mogherini, including specific proposals on the subject.

According to the newspaper “Sudoichih Zeitung”, the proposals include the establishment of a Joint Command Headquarters for Military and Civilian operations of the European Union, and a unified system for monitoring via satellite, and the exchange of Logistics, Medical and Military resources.
